They suggested my system was "compromised". I asked what a token is and the reply was "check your tokens." I can't remember the sequence, but some of their "help" was look in my Finder (already knew and they knew they weren't there). There are not that many places to look on the drive, but I looked everywhere many many times. I was not keeping the files on my laptop because they were too big - hence the sign up with pCloud drive. When I opened the drive my folder structure was intact - as far as I can tell - but approximately 90% of my files were GONE. They told me to update my system and told me how to do it. It wouldn't stay open long enough for me to access my files. A few days ago the drive started acting glitchy. I also left my other backup plans idle, as it's difficult to back up pCloud.Īnd I stupidly trusted their system. I did notice slowness but I also found the desktop drive very handy. I signed up (stupidly) for their lifetime plan several months ago. I was wondering if this is normal or I did things wrong? Pcloud staff are not being helpful, because, although the company pretends to be in Switzerland, the staff did not understand what I was asking (I did it in both English and German, the latter being the most official language in Switzerland) and I overheard 4 people all talking in Russian, asking how they should answer me. Onedrive and Google Drive are able to upload multiple files at the same time.Īlthough I can look the other way when it comes to features (for example software a bit outdated, also it doesn't show you what you are downloading or uploading, it just gives a count of # of files left), the upload/download process where multiple files cannot sync at the same time is a big turnoff for me. Or to be more accurate, the speed on Pcloud Drive is quite fast (on par with Google Drive and OneDrive) BUT here is the kicker: it uploads files 1 BY 1! I just got this offer for Black Friday, however I am very shocked about the upload speed.
